This current exhibit, “Effects on One”, convey images one perceives in the moments of present and past. Caught in the rain can be annoying, but exchanging thoughts with a friend may produce optimism. Any thing can have an effect on a person’s way of feeling and relating to reality. The art works in this show are the result of things and events that motivate my senses and thinking about the world around me. Through my art of collage paintings I recognize a wide process of inspiration. I use photographs to capture moments of stimulating images. I mix these images with painted color fields and create compositions of thoughts I might have on flowers I see in my backyard. Other works in the show display images from a trip to Sicily. The images in my works are about moments, things and events that have effects on me. ….A. M.
